We hope you have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all back at School on Tuesday. Wednesday the 4th is our first Library trip to the Willits Library. If you have not turned in your child's Library Permission slip please do so on Tuesday. Thursday the 5th is Picture Day. We sent home Flyers with an envelope attached with all the Info you will need. You will need to pay for Pictures on Picture Day, cash, or a check is fine. Thank you

Hello Sherwood Families, I am so happy to be the new Secretary at Sherwood School. I'm enjoying getting to know your Children. Here are a few things happening the first week in September. Our first trip to the Willits Library will be September 4th. Please be sure and turn in the Library permission slip form that was handed out to the Students. Picture Day is September 5th. Please send money on Picture Day to pay for your packet. Thank you

Sherwood parents our first Library trip this year will be on September 4th. We will take a Bus to the Library on the first Wednesday of each month. Your child will be bringing home a permission slip this week allowing them to ride the bus to and from the Library, this will be good for the whole school year, please sign and send it back to the office. Thank you

Good evening Sherwood Families. Today was a great start to the school year. Please remember to check your students backpack. Lots of important papers were sent home today. Please review these and return them to your teacher. We also ask that you sign into your Aeries Parent Portal. This must be done yearly to update authorizations for your student. Tomorrow is our first early release day of the year. School will get out at 1:30 p.m. The school bus will be running on it's early day scheduled. Thank you and have a good evening.

Hello Sherwood Families. We are officially back in the office and are ready to help you with all of your start of the school year needs. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are a kindergarten parent, know that your student's enrollment is not complete until you have signed your registration form and turned in your student's immunization and birth certificate. If you still need to do this, please call or stop by the office. This must be completed before the first day of school. Kindergarten orientation will be held on Wednesday the 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in room 2. Important reminder: Due to safety concerns, Kindergarten students may not ride the school bus to and from school for the first two weeks. Please arrange other transportation during this time. The first day of school is this coming Monday, August 19th. We will be holding a welcome circle at 8:30 a.m. around the flag pole. Parents are welcome to join us! We hope to see you all there!

Hello Sherwood Families. We have had a change to our start of the school year office schedule. The school office will be open on August 8th. Office staff will be out of the office on August 9th for training. The office will be closed this day. We will reopen the following week August 12th-16th. The first day of school is August 19th. If you need assistance prior to the 12th, please call the District Office at 707-459-5314. We hope you are enjoying your summer and look forward to seeing you soon!

Good Evening Sherwood Families. We are getting close to the end of the school year and have many exciting events coming up. You are invited to the Sherwood Talent Show this Friday at 12:45 p.m. Our Moving On Up Ceremony will be held on June 4th at 12:45 p.m. This will include our Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduation in addition to honoring all of our students. We hope to see you there! Our end of the year Pool and Pizza Party will be on June 5th . Please send in your students permission slip for this if you have not already done so. Tuesday, June 4th, is a regular school day. We will get out at 2:30 p.m. The last day of school is June 6th and will be an early day. Hello Sherwood Families. FOSSI will be having a Plant Sale today, May 23rd, from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. in front of Willits Physical Therapy located at 23 S. Main St. This is just down from Brickhouse Coffee. They are also selling raffle tickets with several fun garden prizes. Stop by to support Sherwood School and get some beautiful plants for your garden!

Hello Sherwood Families. Tomorrow, May 22nd, is our end of the year school trip to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg! Please send in your students permission slip tomorrow morning if you have not already done so. Students will need to wear good walking shoes, comfortable clothes and should bring a jacket, sun hat, water bottle and sunscreen. Students will need a snack and a sack lunch. A school snack and lunch will be provided on request. We will be having a picnic lunch in the gardens. Students should be dropped off at the Willits City Park at 8:15 am. We will be departing at 8:30. Students will need to be picked up from the Willits City Park at 2:30 pm. There will be no regular morning or afternoon bus services. Thank you and have a good afternoon.

Good evening Sherwood Families. Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15th, FOSSI will be holding a plant sale fundraiser in front of Willits Physical Therapy. This is located at 23 South Main St. just down from Brick House Coffee. The sale will be from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. Come buy some beautiful veggies and flowers for your garden! This Friday is Crazy Hair and Hat Day! Style your hair in a creative, crazy, fun way or wear your favorite silly or wild hat! Just a reminder that if your student misses school that you need to call into the school office at 707-984-6769 to verify their absence with Ms. Heather. Thank you and have a good evening.
