Hello. This is a reminder that all juniors will be taking the ASVAB tomorrow Friday February ninth. Please report to your first period class as normal. Your teachers will direct you where to go when it is time. The ASVAB is an aptitude test that helps predict future academic and occupational success. The ASVAB career exploration program is designed to help young people align their strengths and interests with a post-secondary plan that works. All juniors take the ASVAB in preparation for their Senior Seminar class where they are required to complete a career research paper. The career research paper and senior portfolio are graduation requirements that students will complete next year in their Senior Seminar classes. This is an extensively tested and highly useful career exploration tool, and the results are private. Students will not be able to access the ASVAB career exploration program without test results.

Did you know your student might have a college savings account? CalKIDS is a California state program that helps children save for college or career training after high school. Enrollment is automatic and parents are not required to contribute. Eligible low-income students have been given a college savings account with an initial deposit ranging from $500-$1,500. Check your student's eligibility by going here: https://calkids.org/the-basics/ The 10-digit state student ID number can be found in Aeries. Go to "Student Info", then "Demographics", then click the "General" tab. If they qualified, register for a CalKIDS account. Parents can contribute more money should they choose to do so.

Hello Willits High School parents and students. Willits Sober Grad is at a crossroads. Sober Grad will not continue for the class of 2024 without more members. Willits Sober Grad is an all-volunteer 501c3 whose mission is to provide a safe and sober party for seniors to attend after graduation. For Willits Sober Grad to continue to operate as a non-profit, we need to recruit two board officers as well as additional members at large who are passionate about our mission. If you would like to help Willits Sober Grad continue to serve the youth in our community, you are invited to a planning meeting on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 6pm at the WHS Media Center.
